My friend, Pam, lost her 10 year old Golden Retriever last fall to a tumor in her heart. Libby went down rapidly and when there was nothing left to do she was kindly euthanized. Pam and her husband were heartbroken. Libby used to go to work with Pam and was an integral part of their family.
About a month ago, Pam contacted me to see if I could help her find a poodle (after cleaning up the last of the Libby hair that had hidden itself in all kinds of obscure places) who would fit the bill for being non-shedding. Said poodle needed to also be small enough to fly with Pam and Bruce when they traveled.

I contacted a number of breeders who I consider friends and who also do the all important health testing on their poodle parents. Enter Karen Benker of Karbit Poodles in Oregon. Karin had a darling 6 month old brown toy girl named Latte looking for a home. Introductions made, I bowed out to let Karin and Pam decide if it was a good fit.
